We are a South African nonprofit with a practical solution to the burden of the last mile: moving water from its source to homes, farms, and communities.
Water Rollers Africa is a South African registered nonprofit organisation working to improve everyday water access for families across Southern Africa.
We developed and supply the 70-litre EcoRoller, helping households and farmers move more water with less effort. Through community programmes and direct purchases, we work to make this practical solution accessible to more people across Southern Africa. Our goal is to make rolling water an everyday choice.
We work alongside communities, local organisations, and CSI partners to ensure our support is appropriate, effective, and responsive to local needs.
We work with community organisations, NGOs, schools and service clubs because they know the community, understand local conditions, and have relationships built on trust. Their knowledge helps identify where EcoRollers can make the greatest difference.
The EcoRoller Scaling Project is a uniquely designed model that puts the EcoRoller directly into a community, where people can see it, use it, and judge its value for themselves. The principle is simple: show it working before asking people to support it. By placing EcoRollers into everyday use first, the model builds visibility, trust, and a practical foundation for further expansion.
Roll It Home is Water Rollers Africa’s public campaign to make carrying water a thing of the past. The EcoRoller offers a practical, modern alternative to a chore that has consumed the time and energy of generations of women and children. We’re spreading the word and turning awareness into action—getting more EcoRollers into daily use, so people have greater freedom to learn, earn, and build the lives they choose.
