EcoRollers have been distributed across South Africa — in Limpopo,
Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and North West Province — as
well as in Namibia.

Voices from the community

For five years, I couldn’t access water on my own. Even after the borehole came last year— which changed everything—I still had to send someone else to collect water for me. I live with a disability—my right foot is bent and doesn’t touch the ground—so collecting water myself just wasn’t possible. But now that I have the EcoRoller, for the first time in five years, I can collect my own water. I speak about how little is done for people with disabilities—but also how much it means when we are seen, when our needs are prioritized, and when we are included.

The rollout of EcoRollers to the ECDs was truly heartwarming. Witnessing the women’s excitement and gratitude for such a meaningful gift—one that will make their lives, and their children’s lives, easier through improved access to water—was incredibly moving

“Since receiving the EcoRoller, her life has truly changed.” I am writing on behalf of the Biyase Mzamo Foundation to express our deepest gratitude for the EcoRoller provided to Gogo Ngcobo. Gogo Ngcobo lives alone, and collecting water was once a physically demanding daily task. The strain made even basic access to water a challenge. Since receiving the EcoRoller, that burden has been lifted. What’s been especially meaningful is that the impact hasn’t stopped with her. The EcoRoller is now also helping her neighbours, creating a shared sense of relief and strengthening the spirit of community around her. This simple solution has made a real and immediate difference—not just in access to water, but in dignity and daily life. Inchanga — Valley of a Thousand Hills Supporting Gogos with EcoRollers

In February 2026, several older women – gogos – in Inchanga received EcoRollers to make the daily task of collecting and transporting household water easier and less physically demanding.

Amandawe — December 2025 A Prayer Set in Motion

In December 2025, 25 EcoRollers were distributed in Amandawe, giving participating households a practical new way to move water home.

Community Partnership Rollout

Through collaboration with trusted community organisations, WRA helps identify where practical water solutions can make the greatest difference. Each delivery is coordinated locally to ensure support is relevant and responsibly distributed.
